Caring for Wool Carpet
Your wool carpet will last a lifetime with proper care. Wool is naturally stain resistant, hypo-allergenic, and anti-bacterial. Wool is known as "The King of Carpet" due to its long lasting quality.
1. Spills. Do not rub spills. Simply blot with a clean white paper towel or cloth. It's simple to just lay the cloth on the spill and stand on it! Pressing own on the spill area, the cloth will absorb the moisture. Do not rub liquid into your wool carpet! Blot all staining spills, then if needed lightly wipe with a damp cloth.
2. Vacuuming. Just vacuum, do not use a brush attachment, as brushes will pull the fiber out! Gentle vacuuming will keep your wool carpet very clean. Wool is a dense fiber, dirt will not work in as in man-made fibers.
3. Cleaning. If necessary to clean, use a professional that knows how to clean wool carpets. Wool will absorb water, so steam or dry chem is the proper cleaning method.
4. Shoes. No matter what type of flooring you have, shoes are the enemy of all flooring! We recommend shoes that are worn outside be removed before entering your home! Wool carpet, wood floors, and your home will stay cleaner and last longer when softly walked on!
